Visuals2Go is an educational app developed to support individuals with communication and learning difficulties. Created by a Special Education teacher in collaboration with speech pathologists and parents, its mission is to provide an accessible tool that is user-friendly, simple to use, and effective in teaching Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC).

Research has shown that Augmentative and Assistive Communication systems are highly beneficial for individuals who are non-verbal or have speech difficulties. Visuals2Go is specifically designed to support Educators, Therapists, Support Workers, and Parents in giving the person in their care a voice. What sets it apart from other AAC apps is its versatility; it caters to a range of communicative needs, from single message systems to sentence building for vocabulary expansion. Moreover, it accommodates those who require hands-on visuals by allowing users to print their visuals on various templates.

The app features a simple-to-use interface and beautifully designed images that encourage regular access to communication and learning. It can be used by both verbal and non-verbal learners, including individuals on the Autism Spectrum, those with Down Syndrome, and others.

Here are some of the ways Visuals2Go can be utilized:

1. As a communication device for individuals struggling with speech, enabling them to make choices directly or communicate in sentences using the 'Sentence Strip' feature.
2. For visual prompts, the 'Card Search' feature allows easy access to thousands of images for directions or learning purposes.
3. As a one-button communication device for students with higher support needs.
4. As a lanyard, carrying symbols on a device with a swipe-to-scroll through cards feature.
5. To create an unlimited number of visual cards in different sizes for hands-on learning (Optional Upgrade).
6. To print cards on custom visual boards using templates, such as choice boards, shopping lists, and flashcards (Optional Upgrade).
7. To create stories for learning social skills, step-by-step recipes, or procedures.
8. As a photo album with text and voice, creating albums of family members, friends, favorite toys, characters, etc.

The app is regularly updated with new images and albums. It offers optional upgrades and features that can be purchased individually or through a subscription. Please note that if you choose to access the online library with a monthly or yearly subscription, payment will be charged to your iTunes account. Renewal will occur within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period and will indicate the cost of renewal. Subscriptions can be managed by the user and auto-renewal can be turned off in the user's Account Settings after purchase.
